how to execute ssis package from desktop/ standalone
Hello Sir, Could somebody please tell me is it possible below way of execution ssis package or not, i do have ssis package which is like loads data from one db table to another db table simple ssis package, so this package needs to run like on the fly (not like a regular schedule) now the question is how can i a make a desktop icon (some thing like this) it points to sql server job / ssis package so when i hit that icon it needs to be execute ssis pack please kindly share any ideas thanks in advance asitta

Hello Asitta, Will the target server be on the same intranet/network with proper NT user rights where the user/consumer is? If yes, one approach could be a VBScript file that would start the SQL Agent job using stored procedure sp_start_job.
