how to connect report server from report builder?
last time I asked, but no one answered, since the db is in sharepoint integrated mode, now I use native mode, still cannot connect it, it keeps asking me the user name and password. even I use the administrator account. and I can access in IE the http://myserver/reports and http://myserver/reportserver , does anyone know if this url is asked when connect to report server from report builder? I am thinking the report builder is not used this way? I mean it can only be accessed from report manager web site?

In the Reporting Services application section, click Set Server Defaults. In Custom Report Builder Launch URL, enter /_vit_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0.application. Click OK. If you have any question, please feel free to ask. Thanks, Challen FuPlease remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.

thanks Challen, I made a typo in my question, it is not SP2010 for my report server, I am using native mode and sql2008 report server, when I click on the report builder in the report manager page, it links to builder 1.0. I want to change that part. But your idea is helpful, I just found the custom report buider launch URL in report manager-site settings. I guess I have to install it on the report server. I will try that. finally I got it working now. the issue is SSRS version, when I try to install standalone on server(not supposed on server, should be on client as per documentation), I notice that Clickonce is installed with SSRS, so I installed a new instance with R2, it connects ok now. Thank you Fu and Stacia

Hi Fu I have a moss2010, sql 2008r2 with msrs installed on a single machine and everything is working fine. the msrs is installed in an integration mode with moss2010 and everytime i edit any report from moss2010 library it open report builder 1.0 server name: moss2010 to resolve i downloaded standalone installer of report builder 3.0 and installed. now i have 2 problems: 1. i can make report and save it locally from report builder 3.0 but not able to connect to report server if i want to deploy report to a library 2. when i click the smart tag menu to edit a report from moss2010 library then it opens with report builder 1.0; i tried editing the "custom url" option from central admin site but still moss2010 opens report in v1.0 please provide some suggestions to fix my issues thanks, BhavtoshGood day ,Bhavtosh
