how does the AD login work?
As far as I can tell, when I am registered on a WSS 3.0 site, and I open up the webpage, I am logged in automatically. Is this a feature of the links to active directory and SharePoint ?What actually happens in the backgrouns? Is a form submitted with my login and password ?

hi , Its the browser Setting . When you login to the machine your user credentials are cached . when you open the site in any browser for example it takes the Windows Authentication by default . You can make the changes to the Authentication method in IE You need to visit tools => internet option => security => custom level => Last option => Prompt for username and password ____________________________________________________________ Regards - Sushant Khambekar - MCTS Please Mark As Answer if my post solves your problem or Vote As Helpful if a post has been helpful for you.
