how can i delete previous sql instances from my machine permanently and reinstall..
Hello, I was wondering if i could get some help with the following issue. I am having some problem during SQL Server Installation Process. I am trying to download SQL Server 2008 Enterprise 180-day evaluation, free trial software. I have 2 SQL instances in my machine, which i tried to install previously. Those two installations were uncompleted (error occurred). I have already uninstalled all those sql instances from control panel" Add/ Remove program. But "When i try to reinstall new sql server, those previous instances still showing up during the installation process. How can i delete those previous instances and start my new installation process as a default. Should i create 2 seperate instances for BI and Sql Server Developer ? Also, when i try to choose features (Database Engine services, Reporting services etc.), few features are disabled. I can't select all the features including Business Intelligence and others. Should i try "SQL Server 2008 R2 Trial" ? Is it the same but latest one? Please Advice. Thank you so much. Sonia Rahman email:soniasiean@yahoo.com Cell: (646) 644 0235

The latest one is SQL Server 2012. Check this: http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/en/us/default.aspx, you can try registering with Virtual Launch event to know more about the latest version of SQL Server, and its advantages.
