hotfix installation information
When I install the hotfix (KB977384 and KB978754) manually or with the deployment of configuration manager over all client, the installation succeeds, over all client where the "client configuration manager" is installed I've this problem: On Configuration Manager Propertis -> Advanced -> ConfigMgr Site label "Specify or modify a DNS suffix for site assignment below" before fix was full after the label is blank, so we lost the configuration and if we try to redo manually the configuration the discovery fail. Actually i've done the reinstallation of configuration manager for all the client to fix the problem. I'm the type of installation? Thank you. Vid.

Hi, Since you have re-install the configuration manager to fix the problem. Have you tried to push the client again which have the kb977384 patch option specified to re-install your clients? For kb977384 have look at the following KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/977384 Agree with Torsten, if intital command line was not specified, after hotfix deployment client options were wiped. Hope this will help. Thanks

You have to specify the initial command line again when deploying hotfixes; otherwise they will be wiped / overwritten ... Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de Hi all Torsten's suggestion worked. I have specified the parameters of Configuration Manager Client installation in distribution program of KB977384 and KB978754. On the clients finally the option "Specify or modify a DNS suffix for site assignment below" has remained intact. Question: A future installation of the Client Configuration Manager Client, computers will already have the update also included KB977384 and KB978754? Or do I every time you deploy the HotFix? Thanks. Vid.
