Am doing the sharepoint development in my VM. Now i  need to get or copy files from VM to my desktop.

Can anyone faced this issue previously? how to resolve this.

Hi,

check if this works. Again it depends on the size of the files that you copy.

I use RDP to connect to my VMs, that way I can use the drive remapping feature and copy files through the RDP session.

For Linux VMs I use WinSCP.

No need to make any complicated solution if you can already use the tools that support this.

Hi Sir,

I agree with the others .

RDP is always a good solution to copy files out from VM if you can RDP to that VM directly .

I assume that your desktop is running win8.1 and you are using hyper-v console on your desktop to connect VMs which you are not able to RDP to it directly , you can check if these VMs are win8.1/2012R2  , if yes , you may try to use "enhanced session mode " to redirect drives into VM then copy files :

Hope it is helpful to you .
