full text justify
Hello, I know that this question was asked many times but I find contradicting answers. I would like to know if full text justify is supported by ssrs 2005 or ssrs 2008. I tried both versions of reporting services and found the following:SSRS 2005Full justify on a text box is not available. I tried someone's suggestion to use custom control that converts rtf text into image that is then placed in the report but this solution did not work (some formatting like bold text, italic text, paragraphs worked but not full justify).SSRS 2008I used the new "rich text box" with html tags but full justify is not working. Again some rich text formatting like bold text, italics, paragraps worked but not full justify.I used the following html:<p style="text-align: justify; text-justify: interword;">some text some text some text.</p>Please let me know if there is a way to achieve full text justification in SSRSThank you,KamilHTML clipboardHTML clipboardHTML clipboardHTML clipboard

For everyone else out there that is also having that issue: Crystal Reports supports that feature without any problems.

Hi Kamil, As far as I know, html markup in SSRS 2008 does not support text-justify. html markup only supports a limited set of features.

I found a solution to this problem several weeks ago by accident. We are using Nevron Charting in SSRS with much sucess; in my opinion, the quality of the charts are far better than what is currently offered in SSRS Charting. While on the phone with Nevron Tech Support, I mentioned some of the most bothersome shortcomings in SSRS. I was venting.... Of course the lack of rich text is the one issue that gets my goat. Here is what they recommended as a solution. Here the trick to do align=justify and or superscripting/subscripting in SSRS. First add a Nevron Chart to SSRS. add some dummy data for a chart. Add a Chart Title with Rich Text. ie. align=justify... 1.... 2..... Hide(minimize the size of the chart)... and size the Title to your liking... I'm the first to admit that this is a real hack solution but it works... Of course the end result is a png, jpg etc... and not a text box but this is not an issue for us.
