force downloading OSD packages
Hi, I configured a OS deployment task sequence advertisement with "Download all content locally before running task sequence". With that i configured a mandatory assignment in the future. When i target this to 3 identical test clients (same OS, site, subnet, etc) i found out that only 1 client actually downloaded all packages that is referenced by the task sequence (W7 WIM file, MDT files, etc.). Cache is empty and large enough. On the client that downloaded the packages succesfully is see multiple state messages in execmgr.log that confirms this: Policy is updated for Program: *, Package: CS1004FA, Advert: CS1206FD Program * change to state STATE_ADVANCED_DOWNLOAD content available On the other (failing) clients i see error messages: Fail to initialize TS member info, error 0x80002004 CExecutionRequestManager::StartAdvancedDownload- CreateRequestAddToQueue failed CExecutionRequestManager::OnPolicyActivation - advanced download failed. I did a full repair of the SCCM client agent and WMI repository on the test clients that won't start downloading. The policy does arrive on the clients but downloading just won't start. Any way to fix this? Any way to force download packages into the cache without running the associated program/task sequence? Thanks in advance!

Hi How is your boundary defined. Recommend using IP adress Range. Regards, Nicolai

We use AD sites. All 3 clients are AD members and the IP addresses are within the IP range of the sites and subnets configuration. Boundaries are configured properly.

There is a random bug regarding Supernet to be aware of, when using AD Sites or Subnets. IP Adress Range defined directly in the SCCM is the most reliable.
