failure to install the client in SCCM secondary site
Good morning, I have an environment where
there is a primary site
and two secondary sites SCCM
in one of the sites, I can not
install the client, and it
does not report the status of clients to the
primary site when the road
to the command line installation, it
creates the folders CCMSetup and CCM as in
workstation instead of creating the directory
SMS_CCM.
Is there any way to force install in this directory,
or restore the customer at the secondary
site without losing the settings you apply
it?
Thank you.

Hi Jefferson,
if the CCM folder goes to System32 / Syswow64 then Secondary site installation is not completed properly.
try an site reset on secondary site and then make sure all components working fine, post proceed with the client installation it will go in to SMS_CCM folder
Note: if you are going to install Proxy MP in Secondary site, Install Proxy MP first and then install SCCM Client.

Creating a folder called CCM is ok on the secondary site server. It will only create a SMS_CCM folder if the secondary site server is also a Management Point. If you installed the client before the MP, then it will use the CCM folder.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: blog.coretech.dk/kea and

Hi Kent and Sitha,
I uninstalled the client sccm and then

-If I changethe name of thesite, this can causesome sort ofimpact on thecommunication between clientsand the secondary sitewithin theenvironment

-If I changethe name of thesite, this can causesome sort ofimpact oncommunicationIntrasites?
