execute sql task fails with error
You should know better what are other tasks lurking behind the image. I can see from audiometricprotection is not accepted because the connection is not initialized I do not see any looping hereArthur My Blog

I am trying to run just the execute sql task with a .sql file .It fails with the error: [Execute SQL Task] Error: Executing the query "select code, description, (replace(replace(inactive..." failed with the following error: "Invalid object name 'audiometricprotection'.". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established correctly. I have chosen result set as full result set and assigned a variable for the result set and have chosen connection as the server and database name against which the query runs : Attached is the screenshot for the properties of Execute SQL task Editor. Thanks for your help

Run it so the un-needed components are simply disabled, I guess your task could not obtain the metadata (and I do not see this image well). If the issue persists after that post the SQL Arthur My Blog

Hi Arthurz: Thanks for a quick reply What are the un-needed components? The query is as below: Select code, description, (replace(replace(inactive,0,'n'),-1,'y'))as inactive from audiometricprotection This is saved as a sql file.I am trying to run it in a execute SQL task and generate CSV from the file using SSIS.I have a bunch of SQL files which I will be looping to run one after the other to export CSVs. I tried with one script before looping all the scripts and it is giving error when executing.

Hi Arthurz, Thanks for the reply. It is due to wrong connection issue. Thanks so much for replying.I should have checked it before posting. I am not using looping in this case as I am trying to generate a csv from single .sql file .If this succeeds I will go with for each loop container . Can you let me know how to generate CSV from execute SQL task.
