exclude an OU from being inventoried by SCCM
Matt, Question what if I just want to exclude an OU from being inventoried by SCCM. In my AD structure I have two OU's created for disabled users and computers. I have tried adding exlusions to the AD discovery method by the computers keep returning after they have been deleted from the database.

This would all be based on the Ldap query and that can get complicated if you are trying to avoid OU's We too have OU's with disabled or expired user accounts and computers. The computers will be removed from SCCM during the aged tasks since it won't have a DNS entry and SCCM can't find it. I have never attempted to remove certain OU's Hopefully someone here can help you. I might see if I can try it on a lab machine and let you know what I find.http://www.sccm-tools.com http://sms-hints-tricks.blogspot.com

Hello, What is Ou structure? Cause if you have something like a top OU with a child OU for disabled account like this: WKS -------- Disabled WKS You can setup your system discover with custom LDAP to discover the top OU: WKS in my example and uncheck recursive to not discover the child Disabled WKS OU ?
