hi all, i can download a .odc file from my sharepoint site, and then open it from my local hard disk, while if i want to directly open it from the site by clicking on it, a message box would show up, saying Microsoft Office Excel cannot open http://mysharepointsite/reportslibray/cubes/XXX.odc. what could be the problem? thanks.Andrew Chen Interested in BI related technologies

hi, did you add the library path to the excel trusted paths in the ssp?

Hi , Do you set the file in SharePoint site opening with client application in library settings . If you don’t, you should add this library in to the trusted data connection libraries . If you do ,you may create a connection to this file in the excel and see the results . In addition to this , maybe you can check the user’s permissions , may be your user account doesn’t have the permission to open the file directly in the document . Then you have to change your user account’s permission . if it still doesn’t work , please feel free to let me know. Hope it’s helpful!
