enabling document library list to email - gives error in SharePoint 2010

Dear all,

Earlier I had enabled email setting for document library  in SharePoint 2010. When I set the name of the documentlibrary for email in SP2010 - and click ok - the id will be automatically populated in AD.

Now I am getting error as Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException

Recently I did synced my AD and SharePoint using this procedure.

Do I need to redo the configuration in AD

any inputs are welcome.

thanks

Hi,

Could you please provide corresponding logs in ULS log? It would be helpful to resolve your error.

An even better way to get the real SharePoint error from the ULS logs:

Hi,

According to the error No XsltListViewWebPart was found on this page /_layouts/EmailSettings.aspx in the log. It seems the EmailSettings page in the library is broken.

Did anyone add some customization to the page? Have you back up the EmailSettings page? Or you could copy the page from other environment and paste in the environment.
