email not sent from sharepoint
Hi,
I have created new environment & Gave alert me for document library but emails are not triggered to me.
I have give Outgoing email settings also.
Kindly help me.

I have added new user with email option and got below error.
The user or users have been added successfully, but there was an error in sending e-mail message.The server may not be set up correctly to send email.

Hi Magnus,
I got below message by morning.
#160005: Bad response from SMTP host'autodiscover.domain.com': 530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated .
Do i need to set anything in Exchange 2007 for my server IP?

Hi.
Well, it seems that the Exchange server requires authentication. Does the service account running SharePoint have permissions to send emails using Exchange?
