email attachment not working
MOSS 2007: Hello I have e-mail enabled for a Document Library with the following settings: Email attachment: Save all attachments in root folder E-mail message: Save original = No E-Mail security: Accept e-mail messages from any sender So we see attachment beeing saved in this DocLib but we're missing bunch of emails. But when we switched ON the Save Original we get all the email in ".eml" and not attachment (in explorer view). When we look closer we see that the these ".eml" are coming from X-Mailer: SAP R/3 Internet Mail Gateway 4.6D4" I'm curious to know if there is some kind of incompatible issue with this mailer and SP? Our SP is running version 12.0.0.6421 if this help. Thanks

Hi Master Yoyo, I opened a workspace for your issue, if the email do not contain sensitive data, could you capture the files in the Drop folder and upload some of them to the workspace to let me do some further research locally? Hi Master Yoyo, Thanks for your uploaded mail files. I had done some tests on 1 SharePoint farm with SP2 applied and 2 SharePoint farms with SP2+Feb 2010 CU applied. Here are my steps for your reference: 1. Open the .eml file with Notepad. 2. Replace the x-receiver: *@*.com with the mail-enabled library address based on my farm settings. 3. Save the .eml file and copy it to the drop folder. I can see the PDF attachment uploaded to the mail-enabled document library from the two farms with Feb 2010 CU. But the issue did existed in SharePoint farm with SP2 only. I am not sure which CU fixed the issue as the issue description seemed to be miss from the KB article. Therefore, I suggest you to apply Feb 2010 CU to resolve your issue and you could find the download link and installation steps at Updates Resource Center for SharePoint Products and Technologies (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/sharepointserver/bb735839.aspx) Lambert Qin TechNet Subscriber Support in forum If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com Sincerely, Lambert Qin Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

I am having this same issue in SharePoint 2010. The link you provided for the Feb 2010 CU appears to be for SharePoint 2007. Your testing also references SP2 which again leads me to believe that you are testing on SharePoint 2007. The forum this is listed in is for SharePoint 2010 so I was hoping to find a solution for this issue for 2010. As the previous poster mentioned, I have a doc library that is enabled to accept incoming messages. When I enable the option to 'Save Original Message', I get an EML file in the library that does in fact contain the original attachment. If I disable the option to 'Save Original Message', I get nothing. No email and no attachment. I just want the attachment and nothing else. Any ideas? Thanks. James Kendig
