email alias resolution
Hi I would like to allow people to create their own email subscriptions. When they create one they cannot edit the "To" field. It defaults to their windows network logon(email alias) This is fine. Actually it's ideal as it would contravene security policy to allow them to define email addresses external to the organisation. However, the problem is that when the subscription executes it does not send the email. I know that I can configure the RSConfig file and specify the domain, but surely this would only work if: The the email alias formed the first part of the email address. e.g bournej would map to bournej@company.com But our organisation's email alias' do not feature in the email address. i.e bournej would be jason.bourne@company.com Is there a way around this? Otherwise I will have to set up all the email subscriptions as the admin. thanks for any help. kind regards Paul
