Conversion of images embedded in a DOCX file is not supported by the OOB DOCX to HTML converter. You would need to write your own custom converter that had pre and post processing steps available to handle the images. The workaround suggested by Microsoft is to upload the images to a library and put links to the images in the document rather than embedding the images in the document. Here's a quote from Microsoft's article on the subject:Objects such as images that you add to your Word 2007 document will not appear on the converted Web page if they are embedded in the document. To add these objects so that they appear on the converted Web page, first upload these objects to a document library (document library: A folder where a collection of files is stored and the files often use the same template. Each file in a library is associated with user-defined information that is displayed in the content listing for that library.) and then insert them as linked objects (from this location) rather than embedded objects in your document. How can they invest in "tag cloud" for example and not provide a proper document converter? I mean, conversion is a great feature, but it feels like being handed the keys of a car without wheels, or whatever analogy you find suitable. It's obvious that images, diagrams and charts are part of the majority of corporate documents, as it's obvious that the average user is not willing to spend time uploading pictures, then linking "as objects" bla bla bla They just need the content there, that's it. The content they already prepared in Word... Uploading images to a library??? This is the most counterproductive think I've ever done, starting when people believed that MOSS wikipages were such an amazing feature, and my company built their Knowledge Base around it. The "code yourself" suggestion is another joke, considering the price for Sharepoint and the complexity of such enhancement. Half Abude Scheidl
