documentum integration
Has anyone done integration of Documentum with MOSS? What are the good things that Documentum can bring to MOSS? Are there any redundancy or conflict, and if yes, which one is better then? I am specifically interested in workflow, can someone share some insights on comparing workflow features in MOSS and Documentum?

This is the SharePoint 2010 forum...not sure anyone has worked with Documentum when it's not RTM yet, but maybe. I'm sure the answers are different, since the platforms are so different, but it's likely that the integrators of such tools and IBM itself will try to keep it as seamless as possible. Anyway. I have worked with MOSS and Hummingbird together. The middleware I used was SeeUnity who specializes in integrating/migrating legacy DM/RM apps with/to MOSS in case you want to look them up. There are others in that space as well.SharePoint Architect || My Blog

And would the above questions having different answers for MOSS 2010 than MOSS 2007? The issue is really funny, but I'm afraid I do not fully understand it. Hope anybody helps! Thanks.

Hi, I too have a requirement from my client to provide a web part interface in MOSS 2007 for searching, storing and viewing of documents, etc into the documentum (ver 6.6). Since the tools are very expensive, I'm looking for customizing approach thre Documentum API calls. Any one experieced? Please share your knowledge. Thanks Regards Sanra

Sanra, you're going to need to develop it yourself or hire an expert SharePoint developer. This isn't a simple thing that can be answered over a forum, imo.SharePoint Architect || Microsoft MVP || My Blog Planet Technologies || SharePoint Task Force
