document library security
Hi all, I'm trying to setup a sharepoint 2010 site for my users and im stucked due to a security concern. The main concern of my users is that sensitive documents stored in the documents library and there might be leaked to the public in a event of a attack on the servers which the document lies. The only way i can think of by not exposing the servers to the internet while users are able to access it would probably be done via VPN. Im hoping i can get some advice on any alternatives solutions and if my users concerns are valid. Thanks

I assume that you want to have a document library which contains very sensitive documents and need to give access only to limited users. The users may access the document either from same network or from internet. Normally SharePoint itself the security integrated. if still you want to share the document only to limited user then create a separate web application and use the same. Tell me one thing, is your server exposed to internet? Senthilrajan Kaliyaperumal
