disable automatic updates

On SCE2007 SP1 turned off automatic updates to approve automatically but set it to manually. It seems that there is a update msxml SP2 installed on several servers.

Strange is in SCE2007 at the update settings there is the option to set it manually approve and then a tab to keep last revision en another tab with SCE updates. When i set the last 2 tabs on disable so no updates for SCE this settings is changing back to enable also after a restart etc..

I don't want to run ANY updates until i approve it. Disable the service is then the only solution to prevent sce from updating the servers?

Hi,

Please try to determine where is the update from. If it is from Windows Update, you can enable the Group Policy setting Remove Links and Access to Windows Update to prevent the users get updates from Windows Update. In addition, you can also check other related Group Policy settings:

You want different update deployment settings for servers and clients?

Has it something to to with Windows Service on Windows Servers? because my issue is with SCE 2007 which enabled Update Service so the servers are looking at SCE server for updates. SCE server is synchronising the updates with Microsoft and rolling them out if auto approbe i believe...

So my issue is with SCE is rolling out updates whcih i don't want to roll out..
