derived column with multiple conditions
Wow... this is what I need! Thank you so much, Aamir! Though I only want C and D in derived_column2&3 (not c-1....), but I think I can do a replace on that. Very clear solution! Thanks Zaim, too. I have not tried your way because I'm not good at scripting and think that using the derived column would be easier for me.

I need to split values of 1 column into multiple columns. For example, Original column has the following values: A B C-1 C-2 D-1 D-2 I need to split them into 5 columns, so that if it's A or B, then it goes to derived_column_1 if it's C-1 or C-2, derived_column_2 will have C if it's D-1 or D2, derived_column_3 will have D Derived_column_4 will have 1 or 2 (of C) Derived_column_5 will have 1 or 2 (of D) Any help is much much appreciated! Hi, you can implement this throught the conditinal split operator in data flow task. you need to put the condition in the conditioanl split which creates the certain output for you and on the basis of ouptut you can move these into your destination. Please have a look into the following article which implemented through script task but you have to replace this with your destination. Thanks, Zaim Raza.
