deployment install OS but doen't finish the entire process and no error or success msg

Hi,

I prepare deployment image using MDT 2012 for windows 8.1 which works just fine but it took an hour to finish installing everything. And now Im planning to migrate about 50 computers so I wanted it to be a bit faster.   So what I decide to do is to prepare a reference computer install everything I want capture the image and import the image in MDT tasksquance and start deploying.

Here is the problem Im having:

The deployment process start normally and I can see doing the entire data backup (as I want to keep the old data) and installing OS. Then it finishes installing OS and reboots that is it! It doesnt finish the entire process, no deployment is successful message, it doesnt restore the old data, doesnt change the computer name, it doesnt install apps. There is no error message. And then when I try to deploy it again it gives me the following error message:

Dirty environment found

An existing in Progress deployment was found but is not in an expected state. Would you like to ignore this in progress deployment and star a new one?

Do I need to add anything on the task sequence or did I miss something.

Can anyone help me please?

Thank you

Serki

Did you find any error in your SMSTS.log? The stage you're mentioning that it fails, is often related to a failure of the ConfigMgr client to install.

Are there any more errors? This error is ignored and doesn't look like a "task sequence killing error".

Thanks all for your replies. I have done new clean installation and capture the image again. and now it is working fine. still not sure what went wrong with the previous image.

Cheers,
