deleting document and database limit
Hello, I have SharePoint service 3 and backend database is MS SQL Express 2005 which has 4 GB database limit. After sometimes, database storage reaches to its 4 GB limit and now I can’t even delete the files/folders/photo/documents from SharePoint server through I.E or Windows Explorer. How about if I upgrade with MS SQL Express 2008? Could you suggest on that? Thanks. Kyi Phyu Sin

SQL Server 2008 Express also has the 4GB limit so that wouldn't help.(You've also posted another post about what to do with your databases which has a suggestion for if you have several site collections).[The previous line so that people don't here suggest anything to do with splitting the databases to "solve" the 4GB problem - it's the subject of another thread.]The best thing to do is to say goodbye to the 4GB limit problem by upgrading to real SQL Server (2005 or 2008).FAQ sites: (SP 2010) http://wssv4faq.mindsharp.com; (v3) http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com and (WSS 2.0) http://wssv2faq.mindsharp.com Complete Book Lists (incl. foreign language) on each site.
