date paramter in ssrs
hi, i am facing very veryyyy strange problem in SSRS reporting , simply i design a report with "FROM DATE" and "TO DATE" parameter, but now when i select date abote 12 like 13, 14 ,25 etc. it reflect error the value provided for report parameter "Var_FromDate" is not valid. i suppose this is datetime format problem but even i am not able to view Localize property anywhere to set it as my desired date time format. please assist how can i short out this problemRegards, Amitesh Srivastva

Hello, But the database field you select on is type of "datetime" and not varchar? Please check also you language settings in Internet Explorer: Menu "Extras" => "Internet option" => Button "Language" at the buttom. DateTime format is in MM/DD/YYYY format and when you select more than 12 it is giving error. Try checking the Regional Settings date format in your computer.Nanda

i dont think there is any regional setting in my computer because this same query runs fine on my SQL Servfer 2005 Management Studio , only the problem i am facing when designing reports in SSRSRegards, Amitesh Srivastva

but this problem i am facing in on SSRS development scenario, yet i have not deployed it on my local server even, when i enter date more then 12th in my preview Screen and click button "view report" then this error reflectsRegards, Amitesh Srivastva

Hi Amitesh, You could open your control panel, in Region and Language, you could select one kind of Date format.
