yes kind of . I never heard a word 'Routines' in SSRS. Is the related to creation documentation or what? could you give me clear idea Regards, Krishna

I have no idea. To me, by creating a subscription, you have created a routine to generate a report. The only other possibility that I can think of is if the report is "data driven". I have never done one of these but I think you have to create a "routine" to tell the system where (to whom) to send the report.
