creating multiple columns in one row group
I'm trying to create a table that has a sort of weird grouping. Right now this is how it looks as an example
Department col1 col2 col3
dept1 5 6 7
dept2 1 2 3
dept3 4 8 9
And here's what i need it to look like
dept1
col1 col2 col3
5 6 7
dept2
col1 col2 col3
1 2 3
dept3
col1 col2 col3
4 8 9
Then at the bottom it will have just one total row.
Don't ask me why i need it this way, i think it's stupid, but its a requirement of the report that was requested.
I thought i knew how this would work but i seem to be having some trouble.
Using SSRS 2008, Thanks!
EDIT:
So far i've been able to get it going Across to the right like below, but i need it to go down
dept1 dept2 dept3
col1 col2 col3 col1 col2 col3 col1 col2 col3
5 6 7 1 2
3 4 8 9

Well just to have this up here i'll keep it up and post the answer.
I ended up having to create two more rows INSIDE the detail group but below the group i wanted to "group by". Then manually Type everything in i needed from there.
