Hi Team, I wonder is there any way to create a public facing web site in sharepoint 2010 with out any login credentials. I have created a site and given the anonymous access but i need to add the users to sharepoint visitors group in the site. I do not want to add any users to sharepoint group but want it accessible to the public. I appreciate the help Regards Kalyan

You can't add users to a visitor's group unless they identify themselves when they come to the site. That Identification process is Logging in. Without some form of login you can't differentiate one user from another so how would you add them to a Visitor's group. If you turn on anonymous access people will be able to access the site without logging in even if you don't add them to a group.Paul Stork SharePoint Server MVP
