copy items from a main site to a subsite
What is the best approach in copying an item in a listA to a listB inside a subsite? ListA is inside the main site, listB is under a subsitecal_bonjovi

How big is it and what data types have you got? If it's just one individual item: - Open Datasheet views in both lists and copy/paste it over Export linked spreadsheets and do the same thing. Please note here that the automated metadata, such as time created/edited and so on will be replaced at the time of operation. As far as I know the Publishing Feature move content doesn't work on an item level. Hope that helps.Steven Andrews | SharePoint Professional | http://www.twitter.com/backpackerd00d | https://baron72.wordpress.com/

Hi, I suggest you to use site manager because it will work irrespective of the list size and also columns like created by, modified date etc will show the original values and not the current values. Refer this: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/how-to-copy-lists-greater-than-10-mb-containing-attachments-in-sharepoint-2007.aspx I hope this will help you out.
