content query web part - document libraries with filters

I'm using a content query web part to show all recent uploaded documents to my site and sub sites. I added a filter to the doc libraries to allow the users to select to show or not to show the document on the home page that has the CQWP. In the filters section of the CQWP, I only see the default fields.

doc name, modified by, name, etc. How can I filter on the field to show or not to show on the home page? I only want to show documents on the home page where the uses has checked that box to show on home page?

Hi,

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to display the recent uploaded document based on the check box on the home page using Content Query web part.

Something needs to clarify, which type of check box do you use ?

In my environment, I create a Yes/No check box type field name "IsChecked" and then I filter the field in the content query web part like the capture below:

I have a checkbox with yes/no and the user can check it to have that document to be show on the home page. When I add the CQWP to the home page, I don't see my check box column name [show on home page] in the filters for the doc libraries.

I'm looking at all doc libraries in the site and sub sites, not just one doc library. If I select one doc library, I can see the column, however, I'm looking through all doc libraries

Hi,

When you filter all document libraries in the site and sub sites, the filter section is based on the content type.

As a workaround, I suggest you can create a custom content type under document and add the check box field into the content type, then when you filter the content type, the field will display in the filter section.

More information:

Add a column to content type

Thanks
