config file version
In our SharePoint 2007 existing environment I have added a new box with required updates, but after that found product version for psconfig.exe file is 12.0.6500.0 in existing box and 12.0.6413.0 in new box. Can any body advise what should I install to make it higher? Thanks.

Thanks for that, but actually this is not the one I was looking for. In my CA I can see all servers are showing correct version number 12.0.0.6565, but some some reason psconfig.exe file has different version number in different servers. Could not figure out what needed to be installed to make it 12.0.6500.0 ???

Hi, The best practiceis to ensure the patch level is consistent and the easiest way to achieve that given your current state is to upgrade to Service Pack 3 The Full Server Packages for Service Pack 3 Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 SP3SharePoint Server 2007 SP3 After you have installed both of the above Service Packs on both servers run PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait on each server one server at a time. -IvanIvan Sanders My LinkedIn Profile, My Blog, @iasanders.

Have to wait for SP3 to apply as there are other consideration. Although there is difference, but not actually causing any issue, all seems like running ok.
