codeless provisioning
Hello, I've been working in my lab and was wondering if it possible to do codeless provisioning to AD without using the FIM MA / FIM Portal? I've got a text file and SQL view and once the object is join in the MV i'd like to provision the object to Active Directory. Thanks Neil

In my opinion the codeless provision is completly enabled by the use of synchronization rules (and mprs/worksflows) from withing the FIM MA/FIM Portal. Withouth those you cannot do provision to AD. Unless you write some MA extensions ofcourse. But then it's not codeless :) Using the portal is fun, however it makes you have to buy a CAL for every identity you sync between your text file and AD...

The short answer is no, this is not possible. The long answer is covered in "Understanding Data Synchronization with External Systems". Declarative provisioning consists of a policy driven architecture that involves additional objects. Managing these objects requires the policy engine that is implemented in the FIM portal. Neil, If you do not want to use FIM portal, why not to provision to Active Directory using MV extension code. It is easy, convenient, fast, and many available examples in the net. Issam
