changing sharepoint 2007 port number because of conflict with exchange 2010
I'll tell you what I did to cause the problem and what ive done thus far. I installed Sharpoint 2007 on my exchange 2010 server and my exchange management consoles has stoped working. I have read and read articles on line. to no availe. below Ill post some meesages. I have spent days pouring through web sites checking variables from paths of the power shell vdir to eviornmental varialbles. I have ran the trouble shooter and even tried everything listed in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff607221(EXCHG.80).aspx a sugestion was made in the exchange forum. "As I know, if you install Sharepoint on the same Exchange server(this is also not recommended), the point 80 will be used by sharepoint. Please check whether Default Web Site is running or not, if not, please try to start it. You may assign another point, e.g.: 81 for sharepoint." http://seaway-chc-shar.seawaychc.local brings me to http://seaway-chc-shar.seawaychc.local/Pages/Default.aspx which is my sharepoint server. so how would i assign another port to share point. and if i did that would make my shtarepoint http://seaway-chc-shar.seawaychc.local:81 right? I cannot uninstall exchange because the computer is configured as a sourch transport server and i cannot disable any mailmoxes. any ideas on this?
