try repairing the CM client by going to the CM applet in Control Panel.Check for the errors in the logs. if you are using Windows XP...then these logs are available @ C:/windows/system32/ccm/logs and if you are using windows 7 64bit then its at syswow64 in windows folder let me know if this resolves the issue. Thanks Arvind

Hi, It looks like permissions issue to me. Check the permissions of the user account that you are using, check the security permissions of the service that you are trying to restart. Also disable the filrewall and Antivirus for testing purposes. Hope this helps..

I concur, it's defintiely a permissions issue because 0x80080005 means Access Denied. Is this happening on just one client or all of them? Is this a newly deployed client or one that previously worked?Jason | http://blog.configmgrftw.com
