can not install drivers. No Intel Adapters are present in this computer
I am installing 82579V gigabit network adapter on my windows server 2008 R2 machine. but it says that "can not install drivers. No Intel Adapters are present in this computer". I am using DH67CL motherboard. It seems that I am using a wrong driver.  Please help me to choose a correct driver.

Hi, have you seen this post already?

Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network device issues: http://communities.intel.com/thread/20667

It mentions:

The Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network Connection does not have drivers for any Windows Server operating system. I know this does not help you, but for anyone else looking at this discussion, the The Intel(R) 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection does have drivers for Windows Server operating systems.

It mentions also:

If you only need one Ethernet port, the Intel® Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter works well as an entry-level server adapter.

Extract the driver download using winrar and manually point to the 82579LM driver it works fine for me.

I know this is an old post, but just thought I would comment in case anyone else was having this same issue.  Although technically the Intel 82579V gigabit network adapter is not compatible with Windows Server 2008 R2, you can still get it working.  Go into the device manager, right click the network adapter, and click update driver.  Select "Browse my computer for driver software", then click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer."  Select "Network Adapters" from the list, then click next.  Choose Intel from the Manufacturer drop down list, and select "Intel(R) 82580 Gigabit Network Connection" from the network adapters list.  Click next and the driver should successfully install.  The 82580 driver works for the 82579V NIC without any problems at all.  I have been using it for quite a while without any issues.  Good luck!

The 82580 is not in the list in my Server 2008 R2.  The list goes from 82576 to 82598EB.

i'm trying to get and install an appropraite ethernet / network driver, for my computer, which uses an intel motherboard intel nuc board d34010wyb, with LAN: Intel 82574L LAN : 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet Controller.

i got the error message; "cannot install drivers. no intel(R) adapters are present in this computer".

thereafter it displayed the following message; " the wizard was interrupted before Inter(R) network connections could be completely installed. your system has mot been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run set up again. "

pls help me out here. i need the correct driver, or what can i possibly do to overcome this issue?
