You can open the library in explorer (from Actions) and then multi-select and adjust (tags). If you need to run a custom tagging utility (client software), you can map the library to a network folder and run your tagging software. AK

I just open the picture library in datasheet view and edit the metadata in the grid. Is this what you mean? By default, the picture library doesn't offer a way to open in Datasheet view, so what I do is open a regular doc lib in datasheet view, copy the URL query parameters, and add them to my picture library URL. It works well in 2010. Before doing that, first create a regular view that doesn't show pictures, but rather only has the picture name and columns you want to edit.SharePoint Architect || Microsoft MVP || My Blog Planet Technologies || SharePoint Task Force

These are batch processing tools - ex. http://batch-image-commander.smartcode.com/info.html or http://www.microsoft.com/athome/photos/organizingphotos.aspx or most full featured image editors that you can feed some info (trend or regex) and they fill certain fields based on that. AK

You can open the picture library in datasheet view even though this option is not available in the interface. You provide a url similar to opening a doc library in datasheet. All you need to do is add a querystring to the view you want to turn into datasheet - say all items (allitems.aspx) like this: http://site/pix-library/Forms/AllItems.aspx?ShowInGrid=True&View=your-view-guid There are several ways to get the guid, you can first edit the view and watch the url. You'll see something like: http://site/_layouts/ViewEdit.aspx?List=list-guid&View=view-guid&Source=... AK

I told you how. You open another doc lib in datasheet view and look at the URL. It tells you how to open a doc lib in datasheet view. YOu just copy/paste the URL parameters.SharePoint Architect || Microsoft MVP || My Blog Planet Technologies || SharePoint Task Force

This is the 2010 forum! You wouldn't copy the library's view GUID - use the images1 (picture library's) view. I explained how to get that above. AK

Then you posted in the wrong forum. This is the 2010 forum, and this technique only works in 2010 as far as I know.SharePoint Architect || Microsoft MVP || My Blog Planet Technologies || SharePoint Task Force

Hi Amin, You can create an Access View, and then you could able to modify the keywords property. If you have any other question about MOSS 2007, please ask questions on the pre-SharePoint 2010 forum, thanks for your understanding. Best regards, Emir
