bootmgr is missing , SCCM 2007 SP2 MDT 2010
I am trying to capture reference windows 7 computer using MDT 2010 integrated TS , After apply OS phase , computer reboot and I get BOOTMGR is missing.
Using diskpart list the disk drive .
There is no errors in SMSTS logs until reboot.
Machine that I trying to capture is a hyper-v VM.
I can successfully run build and capture using native TS sequence and everything works great . However if I use MDT intergrated TS to capture reference OS it fails with bootmgr

I could bypass the "BootMGR is Missing" issue by removing Windows product key from my MDT Deploy/Capture TS. (TS: Postinstall --> Apply Windows Settings).

I think I tried that but would give another try.
Also the media that I am using for OSD OS install phase has home basic , premium and professional in dropdown and I always go in TS to select windows 7 professional from drop down.
Though selecting Win 7 professional from drop down did not resolve it.
Could this media be an issue ?
Same media if I use with native SCCM build and Capture works.

Have a look at this post also:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmgrosd/thread/dee3b184-ca3d-4b9f-ae1d-0568747eec0b/#d0956f56-4e23-4714-9e2d-43a42e6aadee
It mentions: At which part in task sequence you get this failure? That way it's easier for troubleshooting. Have you already opened the smsts.log for more information? It can be found in X:\Windows\Temp\Smsts\Smsts.log. Just make sure command support (F8)
is enabled in your boot images before OSD.
and
Success! Looks like we have figured out what the problem was. Looking at the log file you suggested (setupact.log), I could see where the issue lay.My blogs: Henk's blog and

Henk, I have grabbed the logs couple of times just before the machine reboot after OS install and gather step.
There are no errors in TS.
After rebooting I get BootMGR is missing Press Clt-Alt-Del to restart message

Hey RIX,
I have come across this issue on my Hyper-V 2008 R2 lab. The quick solution is to the Network Card to a Legacy Network card. Make a note of the MAC address of the Network Card before you remove the card from the Hyper-V Virtual Machine
settings, then add a new Legacy Network card and enter the static MAC address you copied and Enable MAC Spoofing.
This will sort out your issue. For more info, please look here:
