Im working through this: http://www.amazon.com/Training-70-461-Querying-Microsoft-Server/dp/0735666059

It's pretty good.  Comes with a CD with 200 sample questions as well to help you prepare.  That said - I haven't done the exam yet - maybe I will fail!

Passed 70-461 few months ago. Watch Microsoft Virtual Academy video tutorial (Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Databases Jump Start). If you do not use SQL Server at work, practice a lot. Use, this forum to solve problems. I would suggest go through old posted problems with answers, so you can match your answers. Practice is the key mate. One advice - please do not cram question dumps. You will not learn anything.

Also, book your exam, if you have not done so already. So, you will have a target.

Good Luck

Having cleared 461, 462, 463, I'd tell you how I prepared.

- First go through the exam details at below and check the contents. MSDN URLs are provided, read all articles.

https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-in/exam-70-461.aspx

- Check the Jumpstart video given within Self pace training.

- If you have hands on experience, 461 is really easy or else you must practice it. Follow this T-SQL forum.

- And yes, you need to know the what type of questions answers there are (Drag and drop/multiple choice etc..), so you need to go through few dumps. Below is one site you can go through:
http://www.cipt2.com/category/microsoft/70-461-dumps/

Be careful and don't rely on answers provided there. Try to find out the answers by yourself.

All the best!
