My list of SharePoint 2007 books is divided into sections and you will find a section for each of these different products/functions except for BDC. As I wrote there are very few in each of these sections. None have been particularly recommended (unlike SP 2007 programming books where there have been two clear favorites( - There are two books in the Search section - take your pick. - There are three books in the Excel Services section - there it's a question if you want a Beginner's book; A non-Beginner's book or a programmer's book. Only you know. - There are only a few infoPath 2007 books in that section (if you ignore the ones that aren't in English) - I have only seen one of them. - There are slightly more in the SPD 2007 section but again if you exclude non-English ones there aren't that many - this: Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007 Step by Step (MSPress - Penelope Coventry) *released* is a safe choice. It sounds like you are looking for end user information more than server administration. If that is the case my recommendations are below, but also take a look at endusersharepoint.com. I like the Microsoft Step by Step series. They have a CD with exercises. You can learn without impacting your environment. I would recommend knowing WSS 3.0 (foundation) before diving into MOSS, but it is not a requirement.
