approval workflow on infopath doc

we have some approval workflows setup with just 1 approver. if we want multiple approvers but only require one of them to approve it how is that normally accomplished.  I tried adding two people in the same entry with parallel and putting the two people in separate stages to see what effect it would have.

just using the standard "approver - sharepoint 2010"

Hi,

If you need any one of the approvers to approve the task, you can accomplish that by setting multiple approvers in parallel mode.

If you set staged approval,  first stage approvers review and approve in stage1 and then next set of approvers can review and approve in stage 2.

thanks for the quick response.  below are my settings.  I have it set to me and one other person to approve.  I have approved and shows a checkmark by my name in the workflow, but still says "in progress"

approval - sharepoint 2010

unique name - workflow

select a task list: tasks

select a history list: workflow history

start options(all checked): Allow this workflow to be manually started by an
authenticated user with Edit Item permissions.,
Start this workflow when a new item is
created.,
Start this workflow when an item is changed.

next screen--

assign to: me, coworker (all at once(parallel))

expand groups: I have tested this checked and unchecked

only thing else entered for the rest is just 1 week duration and enable content approval is checked

Hi jtiffner,

According your description, you only need one of the approvers to approve instead of all approvers.

You could add the users to a SharePoint group and assign the group as the task approvers, then uncheck the Expand Groups checkbox.

Please refer to the case for more information

You also could do it with SharePoint Designer. Please refer to the link for more details:
