I am able to access appcontroller portal from internet.I can view and see vms and can create vms.

when I try to connect to a vm ( right click on VM and choose connect to  Console option)  from appcontroller portal  ( via outside internet) it says "Virtual  machine manager failed to connect to virtual machine because host name x.y.z is  unable to resolve ( name of scvmm host).

when I open portal from local lan, I can easily connect to vm console without any error of any vm.

I have checked and both machines IE has SCVMM add on installed.

The behavior you are seeing is expected.

When making a console connection to a virtual machine, the browser makes a direct connection to the Hyper-V host with the virtual machine and firewalls block this traffic by default.
