admin get access denied when trying to change the permissions of a site
Hi there, I have a pretty dumb MOSS 2007 question... Haven't used it for a while so I got rusty (read: sorry for the 'noob' question) I am currently the main administrator of our http://intranet website, and most of its subsites (e.g.: http://intranet/hr, http://intranet/marketing, etc). However, for some reason I am not the admin of http://intranet/IT. That is, I can't edit the /TI site or change its permissions. I already made myself primary administrator of our site collection through Central Administration, but I am missing something out here. Any help is appreciated.-- PMDCI, Master in BA, PRINCE2, ITILv2, MCP, MCTS (SharePoint), MBSS (Dynamics CRM), VTSP 4

I think they have unique permission on the that IT sub-site. If you add yourself as policy for web app for that certain Web application and then adjust your permission on that IT site. once done remove yourself from policy for Web app. hope this help thanks -wsSharePoint administrator, MCTS,MCITP
