hi everyone i have a client pc " win XP SP3 with Ie8.0" facing a problem. when the user click on a document in MOSS 2007 it open as read only with a "edit" botton on it. if the user trys to click it comes back with this error " a problem occurred while trying to connect to server " any idea ? i tried : 1. reset IE setting 2. Clear history and other IE stuff 3. log in as a diffrent user nothing is working on that PC and everything is fine on any other pc " even with the same user " thanks Haitham

Is the user logging in via forms based auth? That might be an issue? Have you tried moving the site to the IE Trusted Sites in local IE security settings? Hi Chris it is added as trused site , still nothing what do you mean by logged in via forms based authentication, its a domain environment and that user is a domain user. if the same user access from another PC its fine. if any user access from that machine , its not working ,,, im sure its a local PC thing but i cant find it thanks Haitham
