Xperf doesn't show stacks on Windows 8.1 Pro

Hi,

Here is what I do:

  1. xperf -on BASE+PROFILE -StackWalk PROFILE
  2. Perform the actions.
  3. xperf -stop -d
  4. _NT_SYMBOL_PATH=SRV*C:\Development\Symbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols

When I open the resultant ETL file in XperfView, the stack column shows all "?!?", which supposedly means the stacks are collected in the trace, but somehow XperfView cannot decode them.

Is this because Xperf is no longer supported in Windows 8.1?

Thanks,
Pai-Hung
