Hello Can I customize the Forms associated with Approval and Request And how?

I have done this by customizing the 'Request Configuration' form in the RCDC section. But all i've really achieved is moving things around. If anyone has managed to go further than this I'd be interested. The problem we have is that the Summary Control table is not user-friendly enough (i.e. containing terms such as 'attribute' and 'operation' etc). I'm trying to figure out a better way to display this info so that a user can understand it.
