Wireless connection after downloading Windows 10
After downloading Windows 10, in order to connect with the net, the window comes up and goes through analyzing and fixing the problem that will not let me connect automatically as it did with Windows 7.  After this runs, then I can connect to the web.   There is no problem with my internet Century Link as I computers and pad that works correctly. How do I get my Toshiba to connect automatically?

What error does the troubleshooter detects?

Normally, it should be fixed once.

Try update your network driver and update your Windows.

Says problems with the wireless adaptor or access point.  Also with the cable connecting to the router which does not apply. Does the wireless adaptor need to be reset or my password for the net need to be entered?

Have you rebooted all the devices and the router at the same time?

Please download this app (minitoolbox) Run it with "select all" checked Upload the output to one drive or any file sharing service Put a link to them in your next post
Please type each of these into an elevated command prompt after you have run the above and saved the file

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /registerdns

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

NETSH winsock reset catalog

NETSH int ipv4 reset reset.log

NETSH int ipv6 reset reset.log

Exit

I don't know if this will help, but you could give it a try, I had a Netgear Wireless N dongle that did exactly the same thing:

Go to Device Manager and uninstall the wireless device.  If the device has any third-party management software (Intel, Netgear, D-Link, etc.) uninstall it too.

Let Windows re-detect and reinstall the driver (you may need to connect with an Ethernet cable if the correct driver can't be found locally).  If Windows can't find a driver, you may have to grab the latest one from the device Mfg's site.  You might even want to do this first, just to have it available in case.

DO NOT reinstall the third-party management software, let Windows manage the adapter.

As an aside, I eventually replaced the Netgear dongle with a different model; even after this issue was corrected its performance was dismal.

Hi miata351,

First of all, please ensure the machine has got the latest updates.
As suggested by others, please try to reinstall the wireless network adapter driver from the device manager.
It is recommended to download the Windows 10 compatible driver for the device from the device manufacturer website.

If the issue persists, we could refer to the following link to have a fix.
No wireless networks are available after you upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10
