Wireless Profile WPA2 AES. Where do I input the PSK?

Hello community,

I tried to set up a wireless profile "WPA2 - Personal" "AES" with the presharedkey.

But the problem is I cannot find a field where I can input the presharedkey?

I have looked on the internet, but I cannot find the information. Sorry for my newbie question.

Thank you

Paul

You can't send the PSK with the profile. The user will have to enter it first time they connect.

Hi,

For iOS you can use a custom policy to achieve this..

Hello

I have to ask something more about this topic please.

I read now many things about Radius server and how to deploy WPA keys.

Now I have read that Radius server or better NAP is deprecated in windows server 2016.

In my understanding is Radius server part of NAP. But now when NAP is deprecated does this mean that Radius server is also deprecated?

What should I use instead of Radius server?

Thank you

Paul

Actually, NAP is deprecated in Server 2012 R2 and may not be there at all in the next version of Windows Server.

First, note that RADIUS is simply a protocol for authentication, authorization, and Accounting. In Windows server (since Server 2008) the Network Policy Server service/feature provided RADIUS and NAP was built on top of this.

I don't think that NPS itself is being deprecated, just the NAP functionality that is part of NPS: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn303411.aspx. Of course, they may rebrand it -- RADIUS was formerly part of the feature set called IAS prior to Windows Server
