We are running Office SharePoint 2007 with SP2 on windows 2003 server. All windows 7 with IE 8 gets this message: " Please wait while Explorer View is loaded. If Explorer View does not appear, your browser may not support it". when click Windows Explorer in View. All Vista and XP work fine. I have tried these: 1. Added the SharePoint site on a Trusted Site. 2. Web Client is set to Automatically start, and that it is started. 3. We have Office 2003 installed on all computers. 4. We also tried to enable Comtability View. I have installed all Microsoft updates. All XP and Vista with IE 8 work. The hotfix is for XP. Hi, This is a known issue that you cannot open explorer view from SharePoint sites in Windows 7. I sorry there has no hotfix currently. The workaround is to open a separate Explorer window. Thanks for your understanding.Xue-Mei Chang

This is utter bs. Unbelievable, what a joke. I hate microsoft! How come it doesn't just say that, i have to search around and waste 1 hour while trying a few hotfixes and registry edits. Makes me wonder why people hate apple, at least there stuff works. Also CHANG, what the heck does open a separate explorer window mean, because i can't connect from anywhere, windows explorer, map drive, add network location, NOWHERE! How can this be, 2 microsoft FLAGSHIP products and doesn't even work. MICROSOFT IS A COMPLETE JOKE AND THIS IS JUST 1 MAJOR EXAMPLE OUT OF THOUSANDS MORE!! Hosted sharepoint at sharepointsite.net and windows 7 with office 2007 installed. WTF am i paying for!

Also, this didn't work on 9/9/2010, it is now 6 months later. I can't believe it still doesn't work! Where is Microsoft spending time and money! How much stock have they sold and can't get this working?
