Hello,

I am just about to acquire an older NAS server.  It has Windows Storage Server 2003 on it.  I looked up WSS03 on Microsofts support page and it says WSS03 has extended support until 10-09-2016.  Now I was told by someone that security updates for this OS are handled by the OEM of the hardware it is installed on.  Is this true?  If so, how would I go about downloading them?  Is there another way, like an offline updating program that can download them?
