Windows SteadyState problems with accessing user accounts
I installed this Windows Steady State 2.5v a year ago to restrict access of children on my computer. They now have their own and I would like to remove SteadyState which is proving impossible.
I initially removed it via the control panel which totally deleted their accounts on log on and created a totally black screen with only my details (administrator), when starting computer. Their details were still shown under Control Panel/User
Accounts though. I freaked a little and used system restore to go back a few days prior to removing and it bought back their accounts/logins.
Then I opened SteadyState and tried to access the kids' user accounts (which are unlocked) to remove the timing allocation but it comes up with 'error - unspecificed error' and won't open. I have tried to create a new user with their current details
and it tells me I can't.
Can anyone help... please :)

Hi, have you disabled those restrictions in Windows SteadyState before removing it from Control Panel? If not, those restrictions may remain on the computer/user accounts. Do you want to export user data/profile now?Sean Zhu - MSFT
