Windows Mobile GUI displaying

So have aproximately 70 handheld devices we use to monitor production within a hazardous work environment, these devices are programed to sync with their server when they dock. However, recently we upgraded to Windows 7 and thus Windows mobile and now we have the Windows Mobile GUI coming up asking if we want to bind the mobile device to the desktop. We can't have dedicated handheld to desktop binding. Actually, just having the GUI being displayed is a major problem. We have found that wmdcBase links up regardless if the GUI displays or not. The major problem is that there is a registry bit in in Windows CE that allows the change to guest mode, but flipping this bit only works for one handheld. We can't keep flipping this bit every time a new handheld is docked to the desktop.  How might I either automate the registry bit change or set in a more permanent solution?
